How to Share Location to Someone using Google Maps : (Android and iOS Devices)
1. Open google maps on your device and tap on the location icon (as shown in the image). Right shortly, a popup will show up on your screen asking you to grant permission to "Turn on the Location Service".
Just click OK and it will then search your live location and show you where you are currently.
2. Now to enable location sharing setting, tap on the profile section go to the location sharing option listed, and click on Location sharing to enable it.
If you don't find location sharing option listed in the profile section , then tap on 3 dots
if you see it on the top left corner .
3. A popup will show up asking for you to allow access to your contacts, if not then click on the "show phone contacts" to add contacts lists then click "allow"(it will list all the contacts saved on your device).
So, If you want to send your location to anyone from the contact list, simply select it and share.
A link will be sent to the receiver's mobile and if the user clicks on that link it will redirect them to their google maps app on their device and they will be able to see your location and follow you.
You can also set the amount of time for which you want to share your real-time location with someone.
You can set a time and after the time is over it will automatically turn off or if you want to turn it off manually you can also do so.
